The second part of the story was published later as 'Panchlight Ka Doosra Bhag'. Panchlait 2 movie follows the events that happen after the first film ends. Here is a brief summary of the plot of Panchlait 2 movie.

The Story of Godhan and Munri: A Rural Romance

Godhan (Amitosh Nagpal) is a young man who belongs to the Mahato Tola (community) of Phulera village. He is considered an outcast by the rest of the villagers because he is poor, illiterate, and has no family. He works as a laborer and lives in a hut. He is in love with Munri (Anuradha Mukherjee), the daughter of the sarpanch Naginaa Mahto (Yashpal Sharma). Munri is a beautiful and educated girl who teaches at the village school. She also loves Godhan, but her father is against their relationship. He wants her to marry Mulgain (Rajesh Sharma), a rich and influential man from another village.

The Conflict of Panchlight: A Symbol of Modernity and Tradition

The main conflict of the story arises when the village gets a chance to buy a panchlight, a kerosene lamp that can light up five houses at once. The panchlight is a rare and expensive item that only a few villages in the region have. It is also a sign of prestige and honor for the village that owns it. The villagers decide to collect money from each tola to buy the panchlight. However, they face a dilemma when they realize that they are short of 50 rupees. They decide to ask Godhan to contribute the remaining amount, as he is the only one who has not paid anything yet. Godhan agrees to pay the money, on one condition: he wants to marry Munri. The villagers are shocked and outraged by his demand. They refuse to accept him as a son-in-law and accuse him of trying to blackmail them. They also threaten to boycott him and his tola if he does not give up his claim on Munri.

The Climax and Resolution: A Celebration of Unity and Light

The climax of the story happens on the night of Diwali, the festival of lights. The villagers gather around the panchlight, which they have bought with Godhan's money, but without his consent. They light up the lamp and celebrate with joy and pride. However, they soon realize that the panchlight is not working properly. It flickers and goes off every few minutes. They try to fix it, but they fail. They also notice that Godhan's hut is the only one that is lit up by a small lamp. They wonder how he got it and why he did not share it with them. They decide to go to his hut and confront him.

They reach Godhan's hut and find him sitting with Munri, who has eloped with him. They are shocked and angry to see them together. They demand that Godhan return the lamp and Munri to them. Godhan refuses and tells them that the lamp is his own, which he bought from another village with his hard-earned money. He also tells them that he loves Munri and she loves him back. He asks them to leave them alone and let them live in peace.

The villagers are about to attack Godhan and Munri, when Naginaa Mahto intervenes. He tells them that he has realized his mistake and he has come to bless their marriage. He tells them that he has understood that Godhan is a good man who deserves respect and happiness. He also tells them that Munri is his daughter who has the right to choose her own life partner. He asks them to forgive him and accept Godhan and Munri as part of their village.

The villagers are moved by Naginaa Mahto's words and they apologize to Godhan and Munri. They also praise Godhan for his generosity and courage. They invite him and Munri to join them in celebrating Diwali with the panchlight. Godhan agrees and gives them his lamp as a gift. He tells them that he does not need it anymore, as he has found his true light in Munri.

The villagers take Godhan's lamp and fix it with the panchlight. They light up both lamps together and witness a miracle: the panchlight starts working perfectly and shines brighter than ever before. The villagers rejoice and hug each other. They sing and dance around the panchlight, which symbolizes their unity and harmony. b70169992d
